Epiq Insurance Agency acquires new clients for industry leading insurance carriers through strategic partnerships and proprietary technology. This consumer-direct business model has positioned Epiq Insurance Agency to be a new disruptor across the industry by focusing our marketing teams on generating highly qualified leads, which are then directed to our Insurance Sales Representatives. This means no cold-calling or lead prospecting. You and your team will be responsible for receiving inbound calls, taking prospective customers through the sales process, recommending insurance products (including Auto and Home), and closing the deal.

The Sales Manager is directly responsible for the day-to-day management and creation of a high-performance sales team within our call center. You will be responsible for a team of licensed insurance agents: assessing their sales performance and productivity and coaching and training to maximize their performance and ultimately exceed targets. You will also assist in the development of strategies and processes as we continue to evolve the quality and scope of the services we provide.

Requirements Include:

  • Property & Casualty or Personal Lines insurance license a plus.
  • Must have previous experience in a management or supervisory capacity and a passion and requisite skills for managing and developing others
  • Possess above average computer proficiency and the ability to multi-task: working on multiple internet platforms while conversing with a client and navigating our CRM system simultaneously
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to assertively recommend appropriate coverage based on your professional qualifications, product knowledge and proven sales techniques
  • The ability to pass a background check and a drug test and be able to perform the essential duties of the role and those others as assigned from time to time

Responsibilities Include:

  • Supervise a team of 8 to 10 insurance agents while maintaining personal production levels in the sales of Auto and/or Home products to individuals using consultative sales techniques and serving as an example to your direct reports
  • Participate in recruiting, training and development of agents to build a highly driven sales team
  • Evaluate and manage ongoing performance of your team of agents and provide coaching and action plans to exceed sales performance expectations and foster continuous improvement
  • Monitor agent performance and ensure data accuracy and best practices are followed
  • Drive operational excellence and ensure your team of agents exceeds production requirements and performance utilization Initiate steps to correct procedural or performance issues and quality as necessary
  • Perform quality assurance audits to evaluate compliance with sales policies and procedures and achievement of QA standards
  • Lead and participate in call calibrations on a regular basis to ensure KPIs are consistently met
  • Identify areas of opportunity and operational issues that may be creating poor customer satisfaction or having a negative impact on sales
  • Identify training needs and coordinate with management and training department to develop needed content and make courses available to associates.
  • Successfully complete our comprehensive sales training which includes product knowledge, salesmanship, and our software systems
  • Instill customer focus throughout the call center and ensure agents understand the importance of the client experience and consultative selling Drive the execution of call center initiatives through your agent team
  • Maintain and improve employee morale in a high-performance sales culture through effective leadership

  • Compensation: $60,000 to $170,000+ per year, competitive base and commissions
